Camp HOPE Breaks Ground
At Lake Sutherland for Permanent Facilities that will help thousands of San Diego’s children heal

On May 21, 2008, Camp HOPE supporters, community leaders and volunteers gathered together to celebrate the groundbreaking and build out of the picturesque 12.3 acre site of the camp at Lake Sutherland.  The permanent facilities that include a main lodge, cabins, swimming pool, sports court, nature center, archery range, campfire circle and much more.  Generous gifts from Serenity Fund, Jr. Seau Foundation and Price Charities will allow the organization to begin construction at the end of summer camp, 2008.

Camp HOPE is a place of healing and hope, where healthy relationships are experienced, communication and decision-making skills are learned, and love abounds!

Located at Lake Sutherland, Camp Hope is designed especially for survivors of domestic violence and child abuse. The lake, surrounding mountains, and blue skies provide just the right setting for freedom and growth.
